My name is Samantha Dean and I am the Family Support Worker at The Rose School.
My role in school is to assist children and their families in securing the support they need. I work with lots of different families for lots of different reasons because sometimes, we all need a little extra support.
I am here to help with any concerns or questions you may have about your child or family in general. I am also here in case you just need to off-load about the challenges of being a parent – it is hard! I am not here to judge, I am here to listen, advise and try and help where I can. If I cannot help, I will probably know someone who can!
I can offer you and your family support on many issues including:
- School Attendance
- Assistance in completing paperwork and forms
- Referrals to Early Help
- The signposting of other available services
- Benefits support/Housing support/Debt support
- Parenting support
- Appointment planning
- Transition support
- Attendance at school and other agency meetings
- Access to training courses
All support and advice is confidential although concerns relating to the safeguarding of children will always be dealt with in accordance with the schools Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.
I am available to talk over the phone or meet face to face by appointment during school hours. I can be contacted through the school office.
